Greenwashing

Greenwashing refers to the practice of misleading consumers regarding the environmental practices or benefits of a company’s products, policies, or services. It involves creating a false impression or providing deceptive information to suggest that a company is more environmentally friendly than it truly is. This term combines “green,” relating to environmentalism, and “whitewashing,” which means to cover up wrongdoing.
