Japan Securities Clearing Corporation (JSCC)

Japan Securities Clearing Corporation (JSCC) is the central counterparty (CCP) for Japan’s financial markets, providing clearing and settlement services for a range of financial instruments, including equities, Japanese government bonds, and derivatives. Established in 2002, JSCC plays a critical role in mitigating counterparty risk and ensuring market stability by acting as an intermediary between buyers and sellers. It operates under the regulatory oversight of the Financial Services Agency of Japan and follows international risk management standards to maintain financial system integrity.
